Should I try to Sue the Tire Manufacturer? |
I had an accident on a Motor Scooter in August.... I had a New Tire on the front of the Scooter for about 5-6 weeks.... then one day on the way to work the Front tire suddenly went flat at 42mph and I was thrown to the pavement because it was a tubeless tire. I was never given a receipt for the tire purchase at my friends shop when they installed the tire.... the tire showed no sign of a puncture, and nobody could figure out why the tire suddenly went flat on me. I suffered a broken shoulder blade and seven broken ribs in the accident. Im really upset that a new tire could do this to me without an explanation, but I dont know if the tire manufacturer will point the finger at my mechanic, or if I have a legal case. I have never sued anyone before...but I cant help but think about this and it upsets me. Any Suggestions? Should I try to sue? I dont have money for a Lawyer, and I dont want to sue my friend who installed the tire. What would you do? I know what happened....it's happened to me, too. Don't stay away too long...Riding is GREAT fun! if you have a good enough case a lawyer will take it pro bono lick your wounds There should be some kind of sign as to why the tire lost air. was the rim checked? You should consult a litigation lawyer first. Almost all lawyers offer free consultation. As a matter of fact, you don't have to have money to sue. Many lawyers could work for you on a contingency basis. Which means you only pay them a certain percentage if they win the case. Suck it up, walk it off. Hey, I know Sue the Tire Manufacturer also. |
