Have you ever been run over by one of these old peeps on their "Mobility Scooter" contraption?

I was, and the old twit said "Sorry sonny I didn't see you", remarkable as I'd been standing on the pavement having a chat with a friend for about five minutes!

I swear, where I live they have started "Cruising" the pavements in to use Hells Angel terminoligy "Chapters"!LOL

yes lol. little buggers some of 'em i tell ya! saw an old lady do a wheelie once. well impressed i was!

haha. yeah. in the store the other day and this little old lady nearly backed up over us. i guess the beeper thing when you back up wasn't working bc i didn't hear her backing up.

she didn't even notice. good thing we were quick on our feet.

hee hee no, they'd bend their bumper! I want one of those when I'm grey in the trunk tho', they build up a respectable speed in the supermarket.

No, but have you seen the one commercial where they are all choreographed and they are all spinning together to some goofy song? Those poor old peeps. I hope they got paid mad cash for that. It made my day tho so that's helpful.

yes. the silly old man didnt bother to look. he just reversed over my foot in smiths. nearly bloody killed me. but thats ok cos hes old im told. huh?. why is it ok for them to belt around on the pavements and inside shops, when an innocent cyclist gets an ear bashing from everyone.

I get angry when they use them on the roads too. They have no road tax, no MoT, no number plate (in case of hit and run - lol =D), - yet they trundle down the road at 2.3 mph and when you gesture to them as you manage to get past, they have the nerve to wave their walking stick and tell you they fought a war for you.

I AM ONE OF THOSE WITH A MOBILITY SCOOTER !! Ha Ha

We took M-in-L to Ireland and in Cork City,the pavement narrowed suddenly and she tipped out of her Mobility Scooter.
A bus driver jumped out of his cab and came over to help. The Garda turned up and booked the bus driver for stopping - not at a bus stop ??!!

It's the 'in' thing ,here, for teens to borrow their nans scooters to go down the chippy!

When these old folk get those scooters,..it's like a new pair of leg's to them and they do like to run you down !

Allot of them need a ASBO lol for driving them Thing's! ;)

Pmsl ....... I know exactly what you mean Elric. I'm trying to do my walk and they come speeding past from all directions. I didn't know there were so many retired formula 1 drivers in Leeds !!

Not yet but have been run down numerous times by young peeps in the supermarket. I have a chronic achilles tendon prob as a result.
