Rude people in mobility scooters!!!!!!! i hate them....? |
now this is NOT having a pop at disabled people, but where the hell have all these people come from? Since the social have started giving them away- everyone has got one!! Sarah Kav get your facts right before you mouth off. Yes, ignorant miserable old people. They p*ss me off too. No, but thank you for your rant. I know what you mean. Just give them a good ram with your cart: ) I pelt eggs at them. yup next time say loudly your excused Haha great definition of my grandad lol... yep, grumpy old bags! Not yet, but I have seen someone rocket along the local street. They're meant to be limited to 4mph if they're used on the pavement, he must have been going twice that! to be fair, i think its just mostly old people, they go round and see us young and enjoying our lives, and it pisses them off, so there rude to us. LOL That's funny, but yeah I know what you mean. Although we should move for them out of kindness and courtesy, we don't HAVE to move for them. But they act like you HAVE to move for them just because they're in a scooter. It's really rude. No more than any other man or woman who ram the back of your legs with the shopping trolley. everyone has got one i do actually, some of the people just seem to just wizz about without a care in the world - doesnt matter what or who they hit as long as they can get what they want. Ya,they run ppl over like were not even there. They hog the isle. They really need a drivers training course because they run into everything. Yes. It's not just the old people... it's anyone on wheels. I almost get run over by the morbidly obese as well as people on bikes on the sidewalk, or even people on skateboards while on campus. It's as if they're saying "I survived to this point... can you?" I have. Only one person has ever said "excuse me" as he wanted to get past. Yeah. They get on my nerves too. Especially the people who are 400 lbs., still somewhat young, but are just too lazy to walk. And don't tell me they have health problems that disable them, the ones I have seen are smoking cigs and still get around good enough to load and unload their mobility scooters in and out of their cars. Wow! That's a lot of anger! Rude people in cars, rude people in wheelchairs, you can find rude people everywhere, doesnt matter if they are handicapped mentally, physically or completely healthy, they are everywhere, but I think though that most people know courtesy, lucky you:) Lets hope you never have to use one, most disabled people are in constant pain as well, pain does,nt show like a missing limb, I know because my wife has severe disabilities, and I have to suffer her bad moods caused by the pain. She can only have so many pain killers per day, which only suppress pain for awhile, her reactions are much slower than a fit person, so she bumps into me and things, but I thank God I,m not suffering like her, so I make allowances for her irritability, she is not a rude person, but one with awful problems to overcome, be tolerant. Yes, I've seen them. As I've also seen women with kids in strollers trying to use them to push pass people, as though to say "I'm special because I have a kid". And people with shopping carts doing the same thing. Or even worse, people who stop to chat with one another (again, usually women) and block aisles without regard to others. I was in the store the other day and there was a group of teenage guys walking by, and one guy on one of these scooters that the store provides for disabled customers. It was a group of college guys goofing off... he wasn't disabled in any way. He got off the thing later and ran out the door with his buddies. That frosted me! I think that most of these scooters you see at shopping centres are given out free and with very little training given I witnessed an old lady on one doing the same as an advert for a soft drink on TV she went right through a big glass window on the front of our main post office thankfully not hurting herself in the process Others of course just go out and buy them as they are becoming cheaper The newer ones are not so bad as they seem to have limited the speed in which they travel but the older ones could do about 15 miles an hour I agree with what you say about some barging into you but as with all human life you get these types also doing the same driving cars or pushing prams and trolleys I usually turn to them and say with a loud voice "I think the word your looking for is Sorry ! or Excuse Me" That generally works. No, I have not had a single problem with in person in a mobility scooter. I just treat them like everyone else. I normally manage to over take them again, i mean they are only going like 2 miles an hour! It's gotta suck to not be able to walk comfortably. Shut up, you and the disresectufl poster above this. Stop having contempt for the ellderly, and start showing some respect. You need your mouths washed out with soap. This is a rant NOT a question |
