Can anybbody help I want to take my mobility scooter to benidorm but i dont know what to do at the airports? |
we are going from manchester airport If paying for excess luggage is not the problem, then take it at check in with you. However, I believe it would cost you cheaper to rent one there if they got it. Anyhow, your travel agent will be able to give you all necessary information. it maybe easier to arrange a mobility scooter at the airport in benidorm Rent one out there, there's loads o places that do it. phone ahead an reserve one at the airport...they will normally drive you about for free. They would have to accomodate it under the new Disability Discrimination Laws. My advice would be to contact the airport and ask them what policies they have in place for situations such as yours. can you not hire one out there it would be a lot simpler. Do you mean a small one, or one of those large ones....either way I should contact the airline and see if they will allow them...you may well have to pay extra to have them transported...and as they have batteries they will be classed as hazardous cargo. I, too, would book one for out there. Apart from anything else you might have difficulty charging yours, what with different voltages, sockets etc. I'm sure your travel agent will be able to sort it out for you.
