Mobility scooters on trains ?

Does anyone know if you can take a mobility scooter on a train?, ive just got mine and would like some days out at the seaside !.

Don't know about a train but this loony old lady where I live takes hers onto the local dual carriageway near my home, It's terrifying taking the bend on the carriageway at 50mph and seeing her toddling along at 5mph, it's definitely brown trouser time, So be a mate and don't try and kill yourself on the main roads where you live. Give the local train station a call they will be delighted to advise you. good luck and have a great time on your days out

You would have to talk with each station where you are wanting to go as they have to make special arrangements for loading and unloading, but, yes you can take them on trains.

yes u can take them on trains but have to inform the station so they now which station u want to get on and off and will help cleethopres nice seaside and can get here on the train have a lovely time good luck

Yes but only by prior arrangement and you need to specify which time train(s) you will be using if starting from or finishing at a rural or unstaffed station.

The reason for this (probably obvious) is a member of staff will be sent on that train to assist you on and off the train with a portable ramp and the driver will also be made aware of the situation.

The best thing to do is ring national rail enquiries on 08457 48 49 50 or look on the website

Hope this helps and enjoy those days out
