anyone know if there are any organizations other than the VA that might financially assist my husband. He needs a mobility scooter due to excessive pain in his back from spinal stenosis (narrowing of the spinal column causing nerve pain). The VA refuses to give him one because he is still on his feet. (on his feet one out of 10 days) grrrr. Any organization that might assist a VietNam disabled Vet financially....for a mobility scooter. He feels trapped in our home. He needs about 1400.00 for a scooter that would be large enough. You can try the DAV (Disabled American Veterans). They are not affiliated with the VA, and can usually help with problems like your husband's. |
