I will be visiting Southern CA in June. I need to get from Reseda to Disneyland by public transit. Any ideas?

I use a mobility scooter/wheelchair. Can't find number to speak to a human to help me plan the trip. Website and automated don't help much. Like how to find bus 460 if starting from Reseda

your best bet is to get to the Metrolink station in Northridge, which is located on Parthenia Street between Reseda Blvd. and Tampa Ave.

Take the metrolink to LA Union Station.

At LA Union Station, take the Orange County Line to Anaheim.

The Anaheim station is located on Katella Avenue, the same street where Disneyland is located.

Walk to the nearest bus stop, and take the first westbound bus. Disneyland is about 2 miles down katella.

Thank you so much. From my research, this does seem "do-able". Since I am on a mobility scooter, I am told I should be able to ride from the platform to the train and then through Union station to the next train. Report It

I'm not well-versed with the bus lines but I have seen a bus in downtown LA that will take you to Disneyland. I suggest logging on to http://www.mta.net/default.asp for assistance. Enter the start and end addresses/locations and the site will provide plenty of options including fare and wheelchair accessibility. Good luck!!

The trip you are proposing is roughly 50 miles and crosses county lines. I too am disabled and require a power-chair to be mobile, but I would never think of attempting this trip using the L. A. area bus system(s). While some of the public transit buses state that they are "accessible", they really aren't designed for long distance travel.

It will cost a lot more, but I really believe you would be better off hiring either a medical transport van, or a commercially operated mini-school bus designed for handicapped transportation.

yes if you can get to either the Orange Line stop at Reseda
or Ventura Blvd then take the orange line (to the North Hollywood station) or the 750 to Universal city station, board the Red Line
take to 7th and Metro.. now here you have a choice
you could then head for 7 & Flower and board the 460 there
or you could transfer to Blue Line to the Rosa park station,
then the Green Line to Norwalk station then the 460 to Disneyland,.
you should buy a day pass but if you board 460 in downtown LA
you will also pay some zone fares with your day pass plus a fare
for crossing into Orange county..


if you go all way to Norwalk on the rail lines you wont have pay any zones expect the orange county fare which is I think either 25 cents or 50 cents..
now if you happen to have an ASI (or a paratransit* card from another agency)
card then your entire trip is free.. no matter where you board the 460..

Access services)

Thats a long trip.
