Is it illigal to ride electirc scooters.? |
Hi It's not illegal on some streets. They are very impractical (and illegal) for interstate travel. they're aight to ride as long as its not for road use no as long as they use the same rules as driving...and if its a slow moving vehicle they use the orange triangles on the back The law says that you can ride an electric vehicle on the pavement up to 4mph, 4-8 mph on the road with lights and indicators, over 8mph needs a licence. yes it is against the law to ride on city streets and highways In most states now, it is illegal to put them on any public road or even sidewalk. Check out your local municipality. You have to check with your local authorities. Some places treat them like bicycles, so you have to ride on the street. If they go above a certain speed, you may have to have a helmet and motorcycle permit, and a license for it. Maybe you need a licence! Just a thought XD NO,burn the dam thing yes, in some places, e.g. a church, i would like to see someone ride one in church, it might be amusing NO. NOT AT ALL. ANY VEHICLE PASSED FOR ROAD WORTHINESS BY RTO, IS LEGAL. Yes, its okay!!! Check with the local municipality. If your in the UK yes it is illegal, to ride them anywhere other than on private property. The Police will confiscate them, they have done over the summer where I live. Disabled scooters are a different matter. No, it isn't here (D). However all scooters should be illegal and riding them should be a kind of punishment for committing serious crimes instead of a long prison sentence. mobility scooters come under a different catagory you can ride it on a road as long as it has tax m.o.t insurance and you have the correct licence |
