RX 100 wheelie ??????????

ok i hav a 1987 model yamaha rx100...... still really powerful after a rebore after about 14 years of use....... totally its bun used for 19 years and now i am the owner !!!!!!!!!! it was my dads first bike....... ok ill get to the point........
a month ago, when i started riding it, i used to release the cluth too fast and accelerate....... it used to mini wheelie to about 4 inches high......... NOW i want to learn to do a proper wheelie!!! not blowing my trumpet but i have a way with automobiles and am really good with 2 wheelers......... can some one tell me how to do this in the safest way possible??????????tks a lot:)

try sitting as far back on the seat as you can. get the bike rolling at a low speed, sit up straight ,pull back and twist the throtle all the way. grip the bike with your legs and look forward. it may take a few times but you will get the timing down.

Adding to qzomp's answer, use the back brake to keep from flipping over backwards.

pop the clutch. it wont hurt it. the clutch basket in the engine has damper springs to protect for this very thing.
