How can I get this transaction erased from my eBay pages? I don't want to buy this item and I have told the seller so and reported them to eBay's bot police force. See below.

I will not buy this item due to exorbitant shipping rate. Such excessive shipping rates violate eBay's
shipping policy.
The seller seems very concerned that he/she is going to lose the ONE CENT I paid
for the item in question. The shipping quote is $139.99 and is non-negotiable. I called Fedex and
they said they could bring the item to my door for $40. The seller is running a scam. I will not pay
, and if I receive negative feedback over ONE CENT, I will make life miserable for ssdigitals.

An Unpaid Item dispute has been opened for the following item: NEW 49cc ZEIMINI MINI GAS POCKET BIKE SCOOTER COLOR BR (#190178806108)
Reason given for Unpaid Item: The buyer has not paid for the item.
Buyer actions reported by s Yes, I am new to this game. I did not understand the shipping instructions, because they are contradictory. If you read the ad more closely, you will have to agree with this. You see under my winning bid of $0.01, it says "Buyer responsible for pickup or shipping". Then later, it says "fixed rate shipping, $139.99 etc.." So which is it? It looks like I can either arrange shipping or accept theirs. Do I arrange the shipping or am I to accept their $139.99 shipping? It is confusing, and yes, I just started on eBay last month. I got scammed because it was a confusing ad.
I have a university degree. I'm not stupid, but I still fell for this. You guys make it sound like it was obvious that I had to pay $139.99 + tax. It wasn't obvious to me.
What if somebody actually bids a fair price for the bike, like the MSRP (around $139.99), and then they still get hit with the shipping? Is that fair? When you can go down the street and get a bike like this for 139.99 or less? Shipping & Handling and Tax:
Shipping and handling fees include handling, packing materials, boxes, fuel charges and warehouse processing charges. S&H fee are non-negotiable and non-refundable . Do not complain or leave negative feedback regarding shipping fees during bidding and after winning any auction. Do not bid if you do not agree with the shipping charges.
That is what is listed on the actual auction and it also has the 139.99 listed as the shipping costs. 40.00 MAY get it to your door, but it WILL cost 60-100.00 to properly crate it to send to you. The auction CLEARLY states that the charge is for shipping, handling, prep, materials, etc. ANY new motor vehicle has charges like this due to gov. regulations.
Im not trying to be a jerk, but it PLAINLY states these charges in the auction and you still bid on it. Stop looking at the shipping only price ONCE it has been packaged and consider legal fees, crating, and processing charges.
If you DO continue with this debate you WILL lose as it is EASY to prove that the 139.99 is COMPLETELY justified ON TOP of it cleearly being listed in the auction to begin with. If you bid without "Reading" all information about the item and shipping rates it's your fault not the seller!!
Many times a wood box must be constructed to contain and ship an item or other shipping considerations.
Read All Information "BEFORE" bidding.
good luck Why did you bid when the seller clearly states the shipping charges in his ad? Did you think he was kidding? I checked out your transaction and it looks like he did what he was supposed to do and you bid anyway.
We will ship to the following regions:Canada
Shipping Cost (first item)$139.99
Additional Item $129.99
Insurance $10.00
Did you think he would change his policy just for you? I have never seen Ebay remove any transaction from an account UNLESS it was "mutually withdrawn by both parties".This seller does not care about the "1 cent". They're counting on the shipping charges to make money. I've been through this before with unscrupulous Ebay sellers and was basically told that there was no way out of a deal like this IF the shipping charges were made clear UP FRONT. Did the seller tell you the shipping charges were less and then try to raise them after the purchase? Or did you bid and win and THEN ask about shipping charges? If so, then Ebay will say the seller did nothing wrong. They will say if you bid and wn, then you agreed to all the terms. I've been buying and selling on Ebay for 7 years and that's just the way some people make money selling items for a dollar or less. You probably only have two options: pay for the item and the shipping or just take the negative feedback. They can't make you pay, but the negative will always be on your account. You can report this seller (and hope others have also reported them) and possibly Ebay will try to put them out of business, but then they'll just reopen another account under another name. The only hope for you is that they lied to you about the shipping charges, which you will have to prove. But like I said, if you didn't ASK about the shipping BEFORE the transaction, then by bidding, you agreed to their terms. I was burned once like you, but I never let it happen again. ALWAYS check out shipping charges beforehand or don't bid. Good luck. This is not uncommon. Sellers do not need to pay fees to eBay for shipping costs, only on bid costs. SO, they bury the cost of the item into the shipping costs. In this case, your seller is paying a pecentage on 1 cent, not on $90 if he had listed it with real shipping costs. It's kinda like a "buy it now" without the seller paying transaction fees. I stay away from these type sellers.
You need to read the whole eBay listing. Shipping is not a negotiable item unless you reach an agreement BEFORE the bid has ended. I've been burned with not reading the ebay listing carefully when I was a newbe and chalked it up as a life lesson. I don't make those mistakes anymore.
You bought it and will receive a negative rating unless you pay. You are being scammed. A lot of sellers are vague on many details of the sale. Negatives comments that are not true can be removed. Do not buy the bike. Ebay has a chat line you can talk to a custoper rep.
Its not your fault. Stand up for yourself. Do not let eBay list negative comments about you. It is a binding contract ( agreement ) between you and the seller. You are expected to and responsible for following through with it... Sellers don't have to pay Final Value Fees on shipping and that's why some sellers charge more on shipping that they should, however they also cannot charge excessive shipping. Here is a link to ebay's excessive shipping charges policy:

Click the report link to report the seller for excessive shipping charges. If ebay agrees with you, the listing will be cancelled and the transaction voided. If they don't, you will have to pay up. Its a close call in my book. |
