Skateboarding?

this kid that hangs out with my friends who dosent seem to leave us alone thinks that i know nothing because i cant do tricks on a scooter or even know what an ollie is!

i dont really fell that great about it and i dont really want to jump off 5 stairs because i dont want to get hurt.
what are some basic tricks i can do

help?

just do what ever you are comfortable doing, and don't let anyone make you do something you don't want to.

ok, I would suggest since you are a beginner, to look on www.youtube.com and look up these beginner tricks: ollie, shuvit, popshuvit, nollie, manual, nose manual, kickflip. Once you have some of those down, you should never be bothered again about being a poser or something..

an ollie is just like jumping in the air and its really easy on a scooter and i'd say safest too. just jump up in the air, no special foot movements or anything just jump, and pull the scooter up with you using the handle bars. if you can't land it use the handle bars or balance and just step off of it. you don't need to gap five stairs for it to be considered an ollie, thats a whole new thing. i just jump over the sewage thing in the road or a curb and feel cool. much easier than trying an ollie on a skateboard.

another simple trick that i can't remember the name of right now, sorry, is just jumping up and down on your back wheel. put your foot on the break and the front wheel in the air and hop in place. its hard for me to keep my balance after like 4 but its real easy to learn.

also once you've mastered doing an ollie you can try flipping the foot part around 360. i practice this standing in place but if your good enough go ahead and try it on jumps. just do an ollie but instead of both your feet coming up in the air and back down, use one of your feet depending on which way you want it to spin and just kick it out so it spins while your still holding the handle bars. that will probably take some more practice than the other two to land right but its pretty basic i'd say.

hope that helped any!

also here's some vids in the link below that should give you a good understanding or anything i said hopefully
