Vacation dilema: Portugal or Montreal or somewhere else?

Hi everyone-
I'm planning a 5 to 7 day-vacation next year, and can't decide where to go. There'll be no kids, just me and my husband. This is what we're looking for: a little village where you can rent scooters to go around, great food, architrecture, lots of museums near by, lots of culture. Don't want: fast food, NY City style (done that too many times) Suggestion? Thanks!
