Am I being too mean to the trashy neighbor kids?

On an average week, my husband and I pick up one full 33 gallon trash bag of the neighbor kids trash that ends up drifting in our yard. We've tried talking to the parents and kids, but the parents are too busy partying and drugging it up to care. These kids won't even pick up their balls and other toys that end up in our yard. There is no fencing and the rental agency has no plans to put any up. I have been throwing away any toys left in my yard, and today a bike was left. I waited over half of the day for someone to come get it. Finally i put it in my storage shed and plan on recycling it. I am disabled and have a one year old that I clean up after myself. I kill myself to keep our yard neat, tidy, and presentable for the housing authority. Do you think i'm going to far? It gets pretty expensive paying for other peoples trash to be dumped, not to mention how miserable it is cleaning up after kids that aren't yours. P.S. the kids are from 12 years up to 21.

Those kids are old enough to know better! That's ridiculous that they aren't cleaning up after themselves.

You are doing the right thing by throwing away any toys/items/trash that are in your yard, left by those kids. If it was important to them, then they are going to have to learn to take care of their toys. Obviously, the bike and other toys should go to other children who will appreciate them and take care of them.

It's unfortunate that you are the one to have to clean up after their mess though. I completely understand. I have a roommate that doesn't clean up after herself and her nasty cats. So, I know what it's like to clean up a mess that isn't yours. The only thing you can do it just consider it part of your routine. Getting angry and very frustrated isn't going to make you feel any better about it.
Don't take it out on the kids, give the bike back. Maybe you will be a good example for them.
I'd be mad, too. And, no, I don't think you're doing anything wrong. If they are leaving their crap on your property and not getting the hint, they obviously don't care about their stuff.

If you know for a fact that the parents are druggies, call the police and CPS. Get them outta there!
Call the state to have the kids removed. As you do that throw all their crap back into their yard. Then call the rental management office and tell them you ar not able to enjoy the peace and quiet of your property because of this. Let them know your also calling the city for trash violations! Then stop cleaning it up. Just rake it back over to their side and put the sprinkler on in you yard when ever the kids come outside. They will stop coming then.
Actually I would take all that trash... toys and throw it in their front yard. Then isn't there someone you can call about neighbors with trash and junk in their yard?
It is your yard, and since you've tried communication and it hasn't worked, I think your approach is a good one...as for it being expensive, I dont think you have much of a choice because I doubt the cops will help
If you live in a housing development, there are rules to be followed. Report your neighbors. You might want to take pictures of your yard before cleaning. You shouldn't have to put up with this.
