If I bike 20 miles a day for 4 days a week for 3 months will that help me lose my mommy pouch?



I am planning on biking to work 3 or 4 times a day to work while my kids are on vacation. I currently am 140 lbs and 4' 11" (yes I know, short). I have a mommy tummy. I want to lose at least 20 lbs. Do you think this will help me lose the weight and loose the stomach? I know I can never have a flat stomach again, but I need to tone down some. I have no time for a gym or to work out. Can someone help? Or give advise?

Truth of the matter is, if you are healthy, and exercise, with good diet, that you will tone up. But there is no guarantee that you will lose weight in a particular place.
Your genetics will determine whether you will lose your 'mommy tummy'. I think you should get comfortable with the idea that you will have at least some baby fat that will be hard to get rid of. There are those lucky few that seem to bounce almost completely back. Most don't.
Some resort to surgery if they are really obsessed.

In either case, your plan should help you get closer to your pre-pregnancy state!
Note that as you work out you will gain muscle mass, but still slim down, so don't get discouraged if you plattaeu at some point. Muscle is less bulky, but heavier. Situps might help tone that area as well.

Don't forget to eat right.

Yes you will. But you have to make sure to do it. Try some cardio and diet, you dont want to feel exhausted or else you will give up after a couple of days.

are you nuts!!!! I would suggest weight watchers check their web site for details on meetings near you. It worked for me. 30-60 minutes a day is sufficient exercies. My aunt even lost 45 pounds on their program and nothing has ever worked for her. Also I have a friend at work who started in Oct. and is still on the program today she has lost over 53 pounds. It is easy to do and you still get to eat the things you like, just in portions. Try it!! Also pilates works really well for toning up after weight loss. It is only 20 minutes a day three days a week.
be sure to take a compass because you'll end up a long long way from home... abou 7,200 miles phew bring a drink too!
If you don't work your way into it slowly it could kill you and that wouldn't help
