Why arent kids kids anymore? |
Has anyone else noticed how kids dont seem to act like kids anymore, they are dressed in clothes that u would expect an adult to wear, and you hardly see them out with their dolls and prams now a days when i was a kid (which wasnt too long ago im only 22) on xmas morn we would be out playing on our new bikes or dolls and prams, now a days its all computer games and make up. i was taking my young cousin to school the other day and half the girls in her class had the short skirts n knee high socks, (she is only 7) and dont get me started on the older kids with the make up plastered on looking about 17 when they are only 12, why would mothers let their children out like that, I agree with you 100%. My niece is nine and I went hopping the other week with her and her mum, she was constantly picking up short skirts, crop tops, make up, and perfume!! I am repeatedly telling her off for rolling up her skirt, she has even put on her 7 year old sisters skirt so that it is shorter!! It's horrible, I personally think that shops should stop selling these things...........oh and the other thing she is into is Playboy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's disgusting, I bet the manufacturers won't let their kids have Playboy stuff! kids grow up faster these days due to technology and access to the latest fashion trends. it is also not as safe to play outside anymore, thus they are pushed towards the TV and computer. Lack of parental involvement. I'm 23 and Ive noticed the change too. as they say, the worlds gone downhill since MTV It's hard not to notice, everywhere you look kids are the same. I think sometimes it is down to the parents, pushing their kids to grow up too fast, either that or just allowing them to do things that they ought not to be doing until they reach their teen years at least. Children should be children, they grow up too fast as it is, without being pushed into it. welcome to a PC world where computers aren't sold!! Political correctness and the general state of street crime means that kids as we were once can no longer exist because you might get sued by their friends parents, other adults for the way they behave. i also noticed that phenomenon.... and ironically in ur skul, me and my classmates act like kids... (hey we're already 3rd yr students) ones with 5 to 8 years of age.... hee hee... wee..... we know we're acting strange but we just laugh at ourselves... |
