Should it be law for bike rider to wear helmets? |
we're told time and time again by the nanny state what is good for us and they always find a way to tax it. why has it not been made law for cyclelist to wear helmets even if it is for kids under a certain age.surely this would save live's .or is it because there's no money to be made from such a law? Yes i do think it should be Law for all Children of school age and under to wear helmets. There is alot of traffic on the roads now ,,,,,far more than when i was a young girl. I also think that we should have more cycle paths aswel for Cyclist's because i for one As a driver (i know shame on me) am often worried about passing them on the road as they seem to ride in the middle.I have no objections about riding a bike. But do it safely. If every body was to wear helmets then kids wouldn't think they looked stupid and A&E would probbly see a lot less serious head injurys It should be a law as my brother died riding without one.. Yes it should, it would save lives! absolutely I agree, all cyclists should be made to wear helmets No. Yes, it saves lives. I ride a motorbike and wouldn't dream of riding without a 'lid'; under any circumstances. People assume because there is a difference between the speed at which a motorbike and a cycle travels, that the wearing of a helmet should be compulsory only for those travelling on motorbikes. Helmet-less cyclists never seem to consider the possibility that they may fall or be in an accident not caused by them, not matter how carefully they ride. Good thing we'll always have a need for donor organs. |
