Is it ethical or even legal for ATMs in massage parlors and late night modeling spas to charge $5 or even $10? |
I have paid hundreds of dollars in those fees over the years because they know you dont have another choice since banks are closed and other ATMs are far away. I think those fees are unreasonable and I am thinking to bring about a class action. I could have bought my wife a nice present or a bike for my kids if it wasnt for those outrageous fees... Do you think I might have a case? I would be interested in taking your case. It is indeed what we call 'extortion' and having a 'monopoly' on the late night gentleman... If anything, you should get a discount on ATM fees since you are keeping our economy going... -MMKH, JD Just get a girlfriend already... No. They can charge anything they want. People don't have to use them. If you have a wife and kids, what are you doing in these places? I'm guessing you are simply posting a fake question to get people riled up. Get a life, dude! Yes, the fees are legal. I have never seen an ATM that doesn't have its fee schedule displayed. Every ATM I have ever used has also required me to acknowledge that I understand and agree to pay any fee they charge. Your agreement with your bank will also set out any fees that they charge when you use a "foreign" ATM. If you don't like the fees, don't use the machines. And, you do have an option, go to your bank before you head to "parlor" or the "spa" and bring cash. |
