My NEIGHBOUR has turned on me...HELP? |
My neighbour and i were friends, until a few days ago when she put a lock on MY gate because apparently a plastic pipe of hers got broken,(located in the walkway) we have used this walkway for a year and a half and it only leads to our backyard, and is the only way my kids can get their bikes out, now shes says its her property (she rents, we bought our home) She put the lock on without telling me, then when i asked her about it she started screaming at me, now she went around last night talking about me to all the neighbours. EVen tho all last year she hated everyone except me, now the tables have turned, i dont know what set her off, and i dont know how to handle this, i have to come up with 1,200$ for a land survey to find out for sure, but in the mean time shes turning everyone against me, and i feel alienated in my own home. i know shes childish and i shouldnt care what she tells people, but i didnt do anything to deserve this... how should i handle this? I agree with the others, get her Landlord involved. All you have to do is go to Public Records and find out who owns the house. In Florida you can find out online. I dont know about where you are. Whatever you do, dont go down to her level and start gossiping about her. If your other neighbors are mature they will stay out of the situation, but if not then just keep to ur self. Try to keep ur kids out of it, dont tell them not to play with so and so because of what his mother did. Good luck. Screw her just keep to yourself. I've had experience with bad neighbors I doesn't get better unless you submit to their every demand. go to her landlord, and tell him what she did and that you are taking action in a week if the lock is not taken off, it is up to him to tell her to take it off, he is liable Well,I wouldn't worry about $1,200 for a land survey, Id get $40 and use it on a bolt cutter, and get that padlock off the gate. Problem solved. If her landlord wants to get a land survey, let him. Of course you want some words of wisdom that will make this problem totally go away. I know I would i it were me. The truth is the only thing that is going to make it go away is time. Remember last year when she hated everyone else? Well, in a few months this will blow over as well. I would just avoid her as much as possible. Good luck. Wish I could do more. Call and write her land lord , the nieghborhood Association, save that 1200 go to city hall planning department ask them to tell you were your property ends. If you look at the corners of your property theres should be little metal/copper markers that look like nickels driven in to the ground with numbers and letters your property is 2-5 inches inside that marker. Oh yeah ignore that biatch! shell eventally need some thingfrom you again. |
