Did Jesus lie when he said, "Ask and it shall be given to you"? |
I mean, if that were true, why doesn't every christian kid get a pony, or that fancy bike? just beleive, ask and enjoy? Or was the paraphraser of the mythical Jesus just pulling our legs?Why can't christian kids fly to school on their faith sprouted wings? yes he was No, Jesus was not lying. When he said that i believe that i was not that if you ask anything will be given to you, its that if it is in his will he will give it to you. Not everything you want is good for you to have it might hurt you in the future and no one knows the future except for Jesus. A lot of words have been put in Jesus' mouth, and very few of them make sense. Jesus was so full of crap his eyes were brown I guess all the Christians are coming up with their excuses for why it doesn't say what it is saying. he was not lying!i think he will only give you the things you NEED not the things you WANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... First of all, I'm not Christian, but....when Jesus said that, I doubt he meant asking for shiny, pretty, expensive material things. Usually, things said regarding seeking the better path has nothing to do with "things" and more to do with self and others. We are so quick to think of getting more stuff. It's sickening. |
