My husband and I love the atmosphere of LBI. We love the bike paths, the beach and the fact that everyone has kids and kids are welcome everywhere. Do you know of a place much like this in the United States? Although we have plans to return to LBI we would like to try another place at some point. Our kids are now 6 and 3 and we include them in everything.

My family vacations on the outer banks of North Carolina. In particular, Kure Beach. It is close to Wilmington, which has a ton of kid activities. The beach is set up for bike traffic and you can always ferry over to Bald Island which is entirely bike/golf car traffic. Houses are reasonable to rent for the week. 3Br house for $1400 a week. Just an idea but worth looking into.
