Worst Christmas disappointment as a kid? |
What was your worst Christmas present as a kid??? In the 70's I desperatly wanted a red chopper bike but my parents were skint and bought me a pair of white knee high boots instead!!!! I was absolutley gutted but now feel terrible for putting my parents under such pressure when there was no way they could provide what I wanted. What was you biggest dissapointment as a kid at Christmas? Oh my God, I laughed when I saw this question, it brought back a (now funny, then horrific) memory of what my parents once gave me as a gift. I'd spent a while playing with my younger male cousins when they came down to visit, unknown to me my parents were watching me keeping them entertained, they thought I was having such a good time I would love a gift like the toy I was playing with...... A SCOOTER I was a14yr old GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... It got put at the end of my bed, and I could just make out the shape in the dark, I was SO gutted. Think I sulked for a week :o) The next worst one was a Chippendale's video (uuurrrggghhh!) I swear the 60's has something to do with it, with all the free love etc!!!!!! Now they ask if I would like a Christmas gift and if I can give them any ideas LOL........ :卢D i wanted one of them yo yos that light up and you could do all the tricks and that. well all my brothers got one and i got a pink yo yo that when you let it get to the bottom it sang twinkle twinkle little star ahhhhhhhh i was very upset :-( what the hell was my mum thinking at the time. No present. How cruel was that? lol i always wanted a bike and my brothers always got what they wanted really nice new ones me i had there old bikes but this one Christmas i was promise a new one wow i was over the moon come Christmas day no bike when i asked mum she said you lot have to many bikes so this year Santa wouldn't bring any may be next year lol i never did get that bike I used to pee and poop on the seat of the toilet so my mom got me a toilet for christmas one for me and me only. That was so mean that a ran away and lived on the streat for a 3 days. About 5 yrs. old, 5 other brothers & sisters. Apparently I was 'bad' that year. They all got lots of gifts,etc. ALL I got was charcoal in my stocking. Nice. I wanted a nice daddy |
