Mom Forbiddend me about getting a Motorcycle?

Well iv been into cars and bikes since i was small.. I know why my mom doesnt like bikes, her brother (my uncle) had a little bike just to get them around i wasnt born yeat but a lady didnt stop at a stop sign and hit him. On the way to the hospital his heart stopped 2 or 3 times (i forgot). and i believe when ever i talk about me getting on she changes the subject or starts talking about how me and my brothers the only kids shes got.. BLA BLA BLA... i understand i really do. Me i will say it now would not have to worrie. i think things through and drive carfully. my brother on the other hand wouldnt think twice. I am turning 21 this aug 21. i was thinking after paying off my rebuilt engine in my car i would save up and get one without her knowing and bring it home, but the problem is my rx7 is under her name so if she gets mad enough im afraid shed start threathing to sell it,. I guess i will save up buy one and keep it at a friends without her knowing.

i always watch out for other cars and motorcycles when im in my car, since im always paranoid about my car, and my car means alot if you would like to see it .. its nothing special but i love my car http://www.myspace.com/theitalianprince

I have been riding for 9 years. And when I say ride i mean ride it like I stole it. Anything under 120 is just to slow. Having said that. I have never been in an accident. I have had millions of close calls. I have bee ran off the road. Cut off by a Zephyr hills truck making an illegal turn. That one putme into stpooed traffic and found myself doin 90mph between stopped cars to save my life. Listen to me carefully. Your skills as a rider dont mean $H!T. I have seen many of my brothers fall at the stupidity of others. Many have died. 12 last year. You need to humble youself before you get a bike. Im not talking about just some riders that have died. The president of the West Palm Beach Ruff Ryders got t-boned by an old lady last year. RIP Tone.

It's not your driving that may be suspect, it's the other person that don't see you or saw you and just didn't care. If you're not ready to move out of your mom's house, do what your mom wants. When you get on your own, buy your bike.

You're 21? 1st thing to do is move out, get a decent job, learn English grammer, start acting like an adult, show your Mom a whole lot more respect. You sound like a sneaky little brat that should be put over somebody's knee.

Your 21 live your own life. Buy the damned machine and quit crying.

As long as you live in her house and drive her car, you're going to have to do as she says. Case closed. Don't sneak around behind her back. You're an adult, so show your mother some respect in her household.

Maybe start by getting the car in your name first, then take the MSF basic rider course. You should be able to find one online. Driving habits and skills in a car do not translate to a motorcycle, and new riders do well to take a class taught by pros.

More food for thought: after taking the class, get a small bike. Around 250-500cc's. Forgiving learning curve and much less dangerous for the first-time rider. Plus it'll keep your insurance (which will be disgustingly high) lower.
