Can i press charges on a person for going into my records?

a person had lent me a bike about 2 years ago. and it has sat in my backyard for that time untouched and it had a flat tire. it was on the side of the house. the day before they had called me to pick it up it disappearred kind of suspisus if u ask me. so the day they called me i told them it was on the side of the house. they came to my job and harassed me about it and i had no clue it was gone it was there 1 day before they called me about it. and when we were talking she told me and i quote (i work for the state now i when into ur records ur on probation) and threatning me to have me locked up for the bike. now i found out today that she works for the child services something with foster kids but anyway me and my mom filed a complaint to address it to the cops. the parent of the girl who lent the bike filed a complaint for home thief? they lent it to me how can they do that. can i press charges on them for harrassment, invasion of privacy, and threats. and im a minor. thank you

she has no right entering you files for personal reasons this is a breach of her oath. she can get in real trouble for this, it does sound all to set up. talk to your probation officer straight away and let then know of the prob. maybe they can help you deal with her.......... try and get a recording of her threats this will be all the proof you need.

good luck

First off, it is illegal to run a background check on someone without their permission .

If this person used her job to access your background informaton she should be reported for illegally obtaining your information. It is an invasion of privacy.

maybe if they keep harrassing u

Why didn't you just return the bike when you were done with it instead of letting it sit in your side yard for 2 years???? They have no proof you "stole" the bike (if that's what they're trying to say) so there's really no case, but you really should take responsibility for your part in this. You DID borrow the bike, and it was YOUR responsibility to return it to them in the same condition it was in when you got it. If you were my kid, I'd make you pay them for the cost of the bike and teach you a few lessons about being a good citizen instead of trying to help you escape from your responsibility.

Since the person who lent you the bike did not ask for it back for two years, the law would consider it to be abandoned property. The fact that it was stolen the day before they asked for it back is definitely suspicious.

The mother has no right to delve into your records as she is not a case worker working on any case involving you. And if there were an open case involving you, it would be a conflict of interest for her to be the case worker.

Your mother did the right thing to file a complaint against the woman. What she did in the least was a violation of your privacy, at worst what she did could be considered a criminal act. She might even lose her job or receive and unpaid suspension.

You already did in a way by telling on the person. You need to send a complaint to the place where she works. She won't be working there any longer! What do you want to accomplish by pressing charges.
Many times we get our feelings hurt when someone "does us wrong" and we scream that we are going to "press charges".
Take care of business, stop trying to "prove a point" and "press charges". Figure out what you want to accomplish and then do it. Pressing Charges doesn't do anything for you except tie up a bunch of your time and money.
Move on with your life. Live it well and be proud. Don't be vindictive like the idiots you are dealing with. If you don't have the bike, you don't have the bike, that's all there is to it. There wasn't a contract or anything so stop worrying. Life will treat you well when you treat life well.
Don't get caught up with a bunch of stupid stuff.....
Good Luck~
