Please confirm my childhood memories!!!!?

Like most kids of the 70鈥檚 I am now in my 30鈥檚 and becoming nostalgic in my thoughts; it has dawned on me that my parents weren鈥檛 always truthful to me. So my questions are:-

Was there a famous Russian or German Cyclists called Rudy Altague (or something) or was my racing bike (named Rudy Altague) a cheap bike from the back of the Sunday paper and I was sold a line?

Did anyone else have a BMX 2000? This was yellow and black and you would get a hernia trying to pick it up; I lost a lot of friends crashing through makeshift ramps as my bike was far too heavy for the jump! Was the BMX 2000 the bike of the future that was built to last like I was told? I wanted an UltraBurner!

Rudy Altig was a famous cyclist.

Rudy Altig (German, born 1937) was a professional track and road cyclist during the 60's

My brother had a BMX, it was also black and yellow with a design that looked like a wolf or hyena (or something).

The bodywork itself was chrome-like. Very shiny!

i remember the ultra burner but everone wanted the et bike! i had the 2000 with skyway wheels! do you remember them? we had a plank of wood resting on bricks and started off with 3 and upwards! sometimes we had a ramp on about 15 bricks with about 10 lads lying underneath! i cant believe that nobody got killed! oh for the good old days!

My younger brother had a BMX 2000. Great bike, and that went everywhere with us. Took a lot of punishment.

Yeah, my brother had a yellow and black bmx. I can just picture it now. I was so jealous. I used to persuade him to let me ride it though (it usually involved some sort of deal). I was a total tomboy growing up!! I'm an 81 child, my brother 82.
