I have a plan to make a razor kick scooter electric(i know how im going to mount onto a razor a kid left at our house. He came back and did'nt ask for it so were good with that so no flaming plz. So I was wondering... What kind of engine would be adequite for reaching a descent speed?(5-7mph) PLz no jet engines. And probably a cheap one. Like a fan engine. Would that work? If not I could mount two on... PLZ First, I'd like to point out this might be a complete waste of time and energy.
That being said, you'll need a DC motor to drive your rear wheel, and a battery with enough amp-hours to make it go for more than a few minutes. Big drycell batterys cost more than a new Razor.
You'll need to mount it, probably on the footboard. The 'throttle' need be nothing more than a simple on-off switch.
Look up some electric motorcycle sites and see what they've done, and see about getting some schematics.
