2003 geely scooter leaks from carburetor?

when i put gas in my scooter it leaks from the carbuatwer when it is turned off it is a steady leak we checked inside the bowl and found nothing wrong with it some friends said it might be the float were can i get a float or a repair kit for it or a new carbuater

Take the bowl off the carburetor. Inside you'll see the floats, move them up and down - they should move freely.

There will be a tab attached to the floats, attached to the tab is the 'needle', which drops down into the 'seat'. Remove the needle and carefully inspect it for wear, pitting or gunk. Clean it (don't go crazy with any abrasives though).

Next, check that seat - look again for pitting or gunk. Clean carefully with a nice hard blast of carb cleaner (wear safety glasses and keep your mouth closed).

Reassemble the carb and see if the problem went away.
