Why does my scooter stall out every 10 minutes? |
I have a 2005 coolster f5 chines scooter 50cc, it run pretty good but only when the gas is flowing.when im driving down the road it will slowly bog down and finnaly quit running i noticed that the fuel filter is dry as abone at this point. I wait about one minute and the fuel filter will have gas in it once again.then i can start it and go on my way for about another ten minutes.(also seems kinda sluggish after warming up. I have changed the fuel filter and checked gas tank and lines for obstructions. everything seems fine. Can anyone help? There were some runs of scooters that didn't have the vent in the gas cap. If there is not a hole in the gas cap you drill one. If you have a locking gas cap there needs to be a vent on the tank or filler neck of the tank. CK vent in gas cap cuz its not a honda |

That scooter does NOT have a fuel shut off valve, but a lot of owners of that and similar scooters add one! You should be fine if that is the problem, which really did not state.
