My scooters engine got flooded.?

I purchased a scooter (Roketa Baha 150) and transported it via trailer. It didn't tip over, but was at a strange angle and gas spilled close to the front tire.

I've taken it out and the engine doesn't appear to be leaking. I think that the engine became flooded with gas.

What should I do? Give it time? Anything else that could have likely gone wrong?

Thanks.

That scooter does NOT have a fuel shut off valve, but a lot of owners of that and similar scooters add one!

You should be fine if that is the problem, which really did not state. I assume you cannot get it to start, and think it is flooded.

FIRST STEP: make sure the kill switch is OFF!! then,

While it is 'drying out' check the fuel lines and the vacuum lines. Those often come off or develop kinks, or even get splits in them. Any of those things can cause the failure to start thing. You can access all the area you need to check by removing the seat and storage box, no need to take the seat apart from the box, just remove the whole set up.

If all the lines are as they should be, and you still can't start it, check the carb, the float might be hung up.

it should be ok but check the oil for a gas smell and if it smells change the oil

if its flooded just give it a fews hours, maybe less, and it'll be fine.

My bike floods every once in a while because I leave the fuel shut off on all the time. The result is that the engine locks cause there is gas in the left 2 cylinders. (kickstand side)

All I do is remove the plugs & crank it a few times to blow out the gas & let the gas dry off the engine a couple of minutes, reinstall the plugs & fire it up.

If the 150 has a fuel shut off (most bikes do) keep it shut off when bike is not in use, and by the way, transport it upright unless all fluids & battery are removed.
