Why Does my scooter keep dieng and wont start sometimes? |
Hey guys.. i just got this bike yesterday its a sachs madass 50cc with an upgraded 70cc bore kit. When i test drove it everything was great. i brought it home last night and started it and it started and i drove around my parking lot fine. Couple hours later i went out at night to start it and it would not start tried for like 20 minutes... (could of been cause it was cold but i kept letting it idle then it would just die) so this morning i go to start it and boom starts up perfect and im off.. so just now i go out to start it and nothin... i try choking it for like 30-45 seconds and then let go and i try givin it gas and it sound like crap and stuff and it just shuts off... would it be the oil or what? i havent checked the oil i dont know how ive never had a bike.. or what would it be? Thanks guys. May have had trash in the fuel that setteld in the carb & screwed it up --may be flooded--How does the plug look if wet flooded --if dry choke it--still doesnt start clean fuel system --Carb--Filter --May be filter in the tank on the petcock Oh boy. Is it a 2-stroke or 4-stroke engine? If it's a 2-stroke engine, the oil is mixed with the gas. If it's a 4-stroke, there will be a threaded cap with a dipstick attached. It sure sounds like a seized engine. Sorry, but that means it's toast. Have you looked at the oil,or the engine of your scooter. |
