2 questions, scooter?

Hi i want to build a scooter for this since fair coming up, and there is going to a automobile section and i want to win the machine which goes the fastest, many people are building small rc cars and stuff but i want something whitch i can use, i have been working on 2 stroke motors and lawn mowers for a very long time, i have been changing parts, buying and selling, if u give me the parts, i can even make a lawn mower for you from scratch.

I am not sure about eletric motors and how they work. the school says you can bring in a gas veivhal for the project

so the thing whitch i want to do is, i want to go buy a 1000 watt motor, and battery, ; the motor is 1000 watts and a 36 volts, i want to use that for the motor for my scooter

question #1. how fast will it go?? a 1000 watt 36 volt motor

question #2. can i put two 1000 watt motors onto one scooter, and have it run

extra question: i am only 14, is this going to be easy? my goal is to go have this done in around a month

You can get less than 20mph on one 1000W 36V motor.
With 2, maybe just under 40mph. The costs will be high with the needed batteries, lithium being the costliest.
May I offer a better cost effective way to build something that's up your alley. With your expertise with 2 stroke engines, may I recommend a bio-diesel 2 sroke machine. A lot cheaper and less prep time to get ready. A one-person operation but if you have help, a really worthwhile project.
Here's a project for the future in automotive science and still be exciting for any 14yr old who has the need for speed.

Watch out, world -- here comes Adam. I don't know the answer, but did you know that any internal combustion engine can run on hydrogen? The first guy to build an affordable hydrogen hybrid will change the world.

OK, if I'm reading this right. You got a science fair coming up and you want build a electric motorscooter as one of many energy alternatives. Sound like a great project!
Answer #1: I don't know. I'll tell this. You'll either, might not have enough juice to power it or you may burn out the motor. If your classmates are doing the RC cars. They may tell you why you can't they just plug a battery and a motor straight together(need speed controller, etc).
Answer #2: It might work. If you have a "belt" setup(car fan belt). But, you may have to factor in the weight of motors and the power source.
Extra Answer: Make it technical, Keep simple and make it "WOW".(don't make it look dorky.). Like not so much speed. Maybe increase range on a charge. But, thats really technical.
