In florida, do you need a drivers license to drive a gas scooter on public roads and state roads? |
17-18 yr old driver From the Florida Department of Highway Safety & Motor Vehicles Website. NO AS LONG AS ITS UNDER 50CC'S. THEY ARE BETTER KNOW AS DUI OFFENDER TRANSPORTERS IN FLORIDA! if the gas scooter is 50 cc or above then YES you need a drivers license...and that is fact!! this is a conflict knowmatter what state you are in. but most do not recognize anything under 50cc as an motorized vehicle. thus eliminating operating a motor vehicle tickets. however even with a license most scooters and snowmobiles are not allowed on public streets because they are not licensed vehicles. trust me know the laws, two years ago i got dui on my 360 fourwheeler, after i had a wreck on my own farm. private property only exists in texas anymore, and since it was over 50cc its considered a motor vehicle. |
