HoW OLD DO YOU HAVE TO BE TO RIDE A GAS SCOOTER?

i am 14 and want to ride a gas powered scooter in a cul-de-sac my mom sayz i have to be 16 and i think shes wrong because al my friends have dirtbikes and there all 14

There is no age limit for such a vehicle. However, it is considered an off-road vehicle, and unless ridden on private property, mandates that you follow the OHV(off highway vehicle) act in your area. ie. insurance, helmet laws, sound requirements. etc.You are not allow to ride it on public roads either. If you find a good local spot to try it out where it is safe and away from a residential area, I don't think you should have an issue with law enforcement. Happy Riding.

Old enough to ride it without falling off. There is no set age limit for gas powered scooters. Of course, they are illegal to ride in most locations...

dude im 14 also and wen ur 14 you can have a motercycle lisence and the hell wit it have some fun and ride it any way, be a punk and i think its at age 14

Unfortunately she's right. You need a license to (and a tag!!) to operate something gas powered on ANY street bc its what the world calls 'driving'. (thats why you dont drive your bike. it doesnt use gas). And as for your friends, they're doing the illegal, they need tags and licenses too.

You have to be at least 16 to ride a gas powered scooter on the road, even if it's in a cul-de-sac. You may ride dirt bikes just as long as it isn't on the road, for instance on a dirt path or on a dirt track.
