How do i get my motor to run????

my dad just brought me home a gas powered scooter, but he said it hasnt been started in a while, and its full tank of mix gas and everything, just wont start, any ideas to help?

take the plug out clean it and spray wd40 on it! i guarantee it will work!

you might have to clean out the carborator etc.. and replace the gas if its old.

the gas in the tank is probably old and is stale drain out the tank and refill with fresh mixed gas. loosen the spark plug take it out pour a small amount of the new gas oil mix into the spark plug hole put the spark plug back in but do not tighten it all the way hand tight is fine for the time being. try to start the engine once you have put the new gas oil mix into the spark plug hole. it will fire briefly after that put some more gas into the spark hole as i indicated above and keep repeating this until it starts. after you have it running good turn it off and tighten up the spark plug. it will not hurt to get a new spark plug for it. if you live where you get snow in winter and you cannot ride it make sure you drain the gas tank out and then run the motor until it quits then it will be empty of gas so it will not get stale. in the spring put fresh gas oil mix in and start it up

The first thing I would do since it hasn't been started in a while is: 1. Empty out the tank and check/clean the tank and fuel line. 2. If you know how disassemble the carburetor and do the same. 3. Check ,clean, and re-gap the spark plug. This will eliminate a lot of problems.
