If A Gas Scooter Has A 49cc Engine, What Does That Mean?

The displacement of the engine is 49 cubic centimeters. Its how big the motor is

my crotch rocket is 47cc and it goes 50 so depending on the weight of the scooter it could be like 30moh maybe? idk just a guess

It means the engine size inside the cylinders is 49 cubic centimeters. Or in car engine size 0.049 litre.

In other words it is small. But that's ok as it will go a distance on a gallon of fuel. Probably has a little tank that holds about a quart.

With-out getting real technical, In the state of indiana it means you don't have to put a license plate on it. There is a litigation on the table right now to have that changed though...
