Can you make a gas powerd scooter go faster?

and i was wondering if there is any parts or tips to make it go faster.

take the muffler off get a helmet and some ear plugs

It is very possible that this scooter has something called a governor on it. This regulates the top speed of your scooter, moped, motor cycle etc. Take it to a local shop and have them take a look at it. They will be able to take of the governor if it has one.
