What are the benefits (other than gas mileage) of owning a scooter rather than a car?

They are cheaper to maintain. Also, you don't have to have tags or insurance for some scooters.

It allows you to get more chicks.

Now about gasoline mileage it is advised better fuel is used on vehicles to enhance mileage and power on slopes and bridges. If you are into speed the sensation is bigger on cars because of terminal velocity and stamina involved. When it is necesary to transport large cargos, a scooter will not always be of help, so go figure: are you for thrills or awareness. That is the one option, not decision.
