What can i do to get a 49cc scooter to go faster? |
Other than me losing some body fat, are their modifications I can make to a little 49cc gas scooter to get more punch out of it? put in the back of a truck. Not really--they are deigned for a certain horsepower to meet Motor vehicle requirements. to be on the roads legally. Yeah install 2 cylinders of Nitrous Oxide (lol !!!!!!) have a mustang push you not a whole bunch(it takes 14 lbs to equql 1 horse power) SO YOU CAN DO SOME figuring from there, not much other other than adjust the carb linkage for more rpm but then you take a chance of engine damage, they come from the factory adjusted for best all round performance and if you fool around with it you are asking for trouble somewhere else, you could put bigger sprockets on it but then the engine would not pull it ,good luck Use high octane fuel and keep the tire pressure at the proper PSI. The motor is only 49CC, not 200CC. To start, there is often a rev limiter which keeps it at or under 30mph. If you adjust the CDI unit or cut the wire (depends on brand) you will automatically get up to 15mph more. If yours already runs over 35 then the limiter is probably already removed. Riding downhill helps. You won't get a 49cc bike to go fast. The only way you could, spend lots of time and money. Sell it and buy something with a motor with enough displacement and power to satisfy you. i had one. you just have to tune it to make it run better. or go to advance auto and get a valve cover breather and use it for your air filter. depending on how your airbox is you might have to figure something out. and you can also use octane booster The guys at the shop where my daughter bought her Yami BW scooter said for about $400 there are bolt on parts that will make it go a LITTLE faster. One of them was a new exhaust and opening up the air intake. |
