Which scooter can a man over 6' tall comfortably ride? |
I'm 6'3" 225lbs. I'm looking to get a scooter (or possibly a motorcylce) to drive to work and back to save on gas money. (I spend roughly $225 per month!) I'll also need to go 60 mph for about 45 minutes straight twice a day. Most scooters that I've seen online look too small and too slow to keep up with the stress that I'll put on the engine. For your size and the type of riding you do, you will need to get at least a 250cc scooter. Even better would be 400 plus. dude just get a full sized motorcycle if you want to go that fast. Get something like a Kawasaki EX250 if gas is your main concern Try the Yamaha Majesty. It's a 400 cc, fuel injected, four stroke, scooter. It's top speed is 110 mph and makes anywhere between 50 to 75 mpg. If that is too expensive then try the Yamaha Morphous. It's a 250 cc, fuel injected, for stroke scooter. It might look like a jet ski on wheels but it'll cruise at 85 all day long. Don't know much about any other brands, but Yamaha's are very reliable and don't have nearly as many problems later down the road when other brands are having problems. Both of these stretch you out so your height won't be too much of a hassle. You're a big guy, you'd look like a fool on one of those scooters. Get a real bike and leave the scooters to the girls and little kids. You'll be glad you did, when you're cruising at 60mph for 90 minutes a day. You need something with enough power to get you out of trouble. My Suzuki C50T gets over 50mpg, if that's a concern. |
