my scooter will start but ti wont um...go. and to make it start i have to give it gas and when it finaly starts it will die if i don't give it full throtle. and when i do it won't move...
its a omni omx-600
btw on my way to work....it was feeling sluggish...(right be for this prob started) I'm going to assume it doesn't have a tranny and it's gas powered, not electric. Clean your carb and make sure your air filter isn't clogged. Those are the two most common reasons why bikes feel sluggish or die. Top end rebuild? That guy is an idiot. It's a scooter... Knowing the year and mileage would have been helpful.
May need a top end rebuild (piston & rings).
If it's a 2 stroke engine, could be clogged exahust.
May need a carb clean.
If it has automatic choke, might be bad.
Automatic clutch may need repair, or a new belt (if it's automatic)
Dirty air cleaner. I agree with the last post. Clean your carb and air filter. You'll be surprised! |
