I have a 150 cc scooter that will start for 2 seconds then shut off. Whats the problem? |
I tried starting it again and it runs for around 1 second, and the time it runs decreases after each time i try to start it. If i let it sit awhile it will do the same thing. I have tried this probably five or six times with the same results. I have even dumped dry gas in it, and it does the same thing. I figured if i keep trying ot start it, it will work the bad gas through, but i'm starting to think it isn't bad gas. it doesnt work i have no idea go to askx.com u need a new one the carb is messed up, or the coil is fryed, could be the sparkplug..start troubleshooting. more than likely its the carb carbuerator? that is all i can think of, unless your scooter is fuel injection, then maybe a drity fuel injector or filter It would be, my opinion, an ignition problem probably the spark plug . OR... If you add oil to the gas someone may have started it with regular gas without the oil. Clogged intake filter or exhaust or the tank has some that prevents the fuel from flowing at the rate that it should. A bad coil that gets hot and quit working or fouled spark plug. how old is the air filter? get the carb cleaned out, the idle jets are tiny and a little gummed up sediment will strangle them quite easily. stalling issues |
