To young for a 2007KX250f?? |
My fried is 15 and he has never riden a dirtbike before but knows alot about them do u think it is safe for him to get a kx250f he does have a gas scooter that go's about 70mph and he takes it off road so he does know what speed is no you guys should stay away from something like that. I have many friends in wheelchairs that started off with too powerful of a bike. tell him to take the scooter to a FMX track and get some seat time under his belt before he tries to run with the big boys depends on the rider and if he's ever been offroad. street acts different than dirt. its easier to start on a smaller bike but again depends on the rider. If your friend has never ridden a dirtbike before, the KX250 certainly isn't the right bike for him! The KX is a high-performance machine meant for experienced off-road riders. Ask your friend to first get a smaller, less powerful dual-purpose machine, ride it for a few months and then move on to the KX250.... tell him to get an 85 or 125, probably a 125, he will out grow an 85 quicker. a newer 125 has 40 horses...plenty of power for him Its easier to go slow on a 250 than on a 125 so I'd say get it. He should be ok as long as he dosnt ring it out till hes got used to the handeling, he will come off a few times , but you never learn how to stay on if you dont come off a few times, those who never come off have never ridden much. A KX250F is like a 125 2 stroke which is pretty fast but not too bad if he is good size. Otherwise a 85cc expert (larger than norm) would probably do and they are still fast. My friend can pretty much keep up with me on the trails with his and I'm on a CR250. On the track its a different story. |
