Could you drive a motor scooter from?

key west,florida to neah bay,washington without getting on any major highway (like I-10 or I-40) sub highways or county roads and how long would it take you if your average speed is 55 mph and your gas tank is 2 gallons and you can go about 180 mpg..

Yes--interstates are not the only roads across our nation--they often replaced the older roads but that does not mean they eliminated them. Interesting idea--finding back roads. Get an up to date ROAD ATLAS--it includes every state and all roads. Have fun....

Interesting trip ideal. First to get from Key West to mainland you have to use the causeways so start on the mainland.. State highways and country roads cross country. Now your going to start haveing problems around WYO and COLO..Here's why little or no roads outside of interstate. WYO is really bad for this untill you cross the divde and there are some roads that will heard in the right direction... BUT be warned some of there roads are little traveled and gas is few and far in between.. From this point your gong to head one of these ways wyo to IDaho then to ORgon or into Washington.. WA may be hard finding roads over the mountains. Or would be down the Columbia George. So Side is freeway north side is state highways.. From here to the I 5 corridor your on your own.... I based most of this on 25 years of cross country driveing.
What you need is a good mapping program like rand Mc Nally. a good GPS unit. extra gas container and oil. and a small emergency road kit..include shelter, bedding and food and water expecially out west.... distance is an est. 4k plus.. time well that depends on how fast your traveling and how big your scooter is.. just remember its not a high speed cruiser so keep the speed down... also check each state you travel through for helmet laws... Time say1-2 weeks takeing it easy..good luck

Any trip is doable. I know a guy who went from Depends on now much time you have.
