How to switch to synthetic 2 stroke oil (from non-synthetic)?

I have been running non-synthetic in my 2 stroke gas powered scooter. I just bought some synthetic racing oil and I am wanting to switch from the non-synthetic that is already in the tank. Should I run all of the gas and oil out of the tank before I switch to the synthetic oil? I don't really want to run a mixture of the oils, but I'm wondering also if I run a few tanks with the new oil if the old oil will be completely gone or not?

Thank you

Mixing the oils won't hurt a bit, but if you just let the castor based oil get low, or actually drain it, you won't have any issues.
