Question for anyone who knows about motorcycles or china scooters.?

I was driving my piece of crap SunL scooter the other day when it jerked backwards and started making this weird noise. I thought the front wheel was about to fly off because the noise was as if something was pressed against the wheel. Like when you put a baseball card in a bicycle to make it loud. Also, from that point on, I could smell the exhaust and a burning rubber smell as if it was blowing right in my face. The next time I started it, it was REALLY loud. It sounded like an actual motorcycle. Thats the last time it would start. I had just bought a new battery and had a full tank. When I try to start it, it sounds normal except now it makes a *bloop bloop bloop* fluid sound as well. I also noticed that at the same time it quit turning over, it started reading the level of the gas tank even with the keys out. Its not supposed to do that. Please someone help me figure out how to make this thing run again.

My dad seems to think a head gasket rattled loose or broke off, or that i need a new spark plug. Could that be it?

Sounds like it blew a head or exhaust gasket, then the hot fumes cooked the wiring & anything else nearby.

RIP...do not spend a dime on that scooter. Buy Japanese,1st, Italian 2nd, Korean 3rd, Tawainese 4th or walk. Chinese imports are pure junk.

Edit your question and provide more information. Which specific Sunl scooter model, engine cc's, 2 or 4-stroke? When cold, does the muffler move around any when you grasp it? Follow the exhaust pipe forward to the cylinder head . . is it secure . . any leaks from this area when the engine is running?

The first thing I thought of was, something got jammed under the scoot and put a hole in the exhaust pipe.
The pipe may have come off the cylinder.
The sound you're describing is what a scooter sounds like when running it without the exhaust pipe.
The exhaust smell confirms an exhaust or head gasket leak.
What you have on your hands, is known as the China Syndrome.
