Survey for the walking challenged Disabled?

For those that know of or is disabled and have issues walking... Would you own a mobility scooter or wheel chair that had a gas motor verses or with an electric motor.

I am trying to get a local scooter store take serious mobility scooters that are hybrids. I myself am disabled and would love to be able to be out all day on my scooter. I cant due to the batteries life span.

I have a two cycle motor I am mounting to mine. Its one of those 49cc motors that can be mounted rather easily. Besides its not fuel efficency, its the ability to get past the dead battery which is the disabled biggest limitation

My husband is paralyzed from the chest down. Thankfully, he can still move his arms. He has a power chair as well. He really hates that after so long the battery starts to loose charge faster and faster. I know he would love a gas powered one. He is all in to that kind of thing. It is really cool meeting someone else that is disabled too. If you don't mind me asking, what is your disability? Thank you.

do you understand the basic principles behind a hybrid engine? an electric motor is most efficient at low speeds, but a gasoline motor is more efficient at highway speeds.

when will you ever get to the point where a gas motor is that efficient?

I'll order one.

I wish you luck with that. Everyone seems to be thinking green these days. Perhaps mobility scooters will follow suit soon.

I hope so, good luck to you!
