Are scooters going to be are best way of getting a round? |
well it can be recharged or use gas .time will tell/? my husband and i have a suzuki bourghman 400cc. its a lot of fun. you definately need to be extremely careful when operating one. its classified as a motorcycle and can go on interstate highways. so you do need a motorcycle license. however, there are small ones. i believe we will see more and more of them as long as gas prices continue to go up. my scooter get approximately 60 miles per gallon. A round what? The scooter craze is shur on bigtime. These little gas mizers are quite popular and cheap to buy when made in China. This has been going on in the orient for years. Have you seen any street scenes for vietnam where small scooter are only outnumbered by bicycles. As long as the gas prices remain at such high levels, which they will, and where the climate allows for year round or most of the year use they are an economical means to transport. Scooters are very cool and an economical way of getting around. Manufacturers are already working on fuel cell technology that will make electric scooters the rule, rather than the exception, in the near future. It's kinda cold on a scooter in the winter,,,...! In my area scooters are illegal to ride on city streets the same as skateboards. So I'd say it's more likely the bicycle or smart car is the way of the future long before the scooter. Even mopeds have an edge on scooters. I don't think so there are many motorcycles out there that get just about the same gas mileage. As for me my 1100 get 47 miles to the gallon. My scooter gets better than that but tops out at 30 mph and takes a great deal longer to get there. But it is a fun little ride. |
