How do you operate the folding handlebar on a BMW Slide Carver scooter?

I just got a used BMW Slide Carver as a gift. It came with the handlebar in the folded, locked position. I can't figure out how to unlock it to get the handlebar in the raised position for use. You can see a picture of this model at http://store.dickhorriganbmw.com/default...

Here is an email to a tech for the company, you can email and ask him how to fold, and un-fold the Handlebar
