| *Vultures Knob>>>Folding Bike |
I am looking into buying a folding bike. Are they reliable? |
I want one for under 200 bucks. I am going to use it to bike to work. I live in a downtown area and work is around 2-3 miles away. Just make sure you get it from a good shop and that it is fitted for you!!! Dahon makes some of the most reputable folding bikes in mountain, commuter and road styles. http://www.dahon.com/ Montague makes military-issue folding bikes which are not bad either. http://www.montagueco.com/ Good luck! Source(s): We sell more Dahon folding bikes than any other brand in our store no, they arn,t you should get a good mountain bke it will last much longer! those folding things are not good at all! it depends on whether or not you really need a folding bike... are you keeping it in the trunk of your car or somewhere really small? if not, then a folding bike is not necessary. I keep mine in the trunk of my car so I always have it with me, but I usually ride a road bike. a good folding bike (KHS has a good one) that retails for around 300 bucks. just like any other bike, you get what you pay for. since you are only planning to bike 2 to 3 miles each way, maybe a simple single speed or a communter bike will do well for you, as long as you have a place to lock it with a decent lock. Check out the Specialized lines. http://www.specialized.com No. Get a mountain bike so you can hop curbs. |
