Can anyone tell me whether the Dahon D7 folding bike is any good?

All Dahon bikes are excellent. Of course, as you go up the line they become more refined, better equipped, and lighter. Source(s): 27 years in the industry
Any folding bicycle is engineered around lots of compromises. The Dahon D7 weighs a little over 26 pounds, has 20" wheels and 7 gears. The 7 gears are spaced well. The 20" wheels are a bit small for me, but they do make the bicyclle very portable when folded.

If the folding feature is really important to you and if your rides tend to be short, the Dahon D7 may work well for you. It will not ride as nicely as a non folding bicycle or a folding bicycle with larger wheels.
