Anybody have experience with gobike? or birdy bike. I plan on buying folding bike?

I'm looking at downtube, brompton, bf tikit, birdy and gobike. I plan on using the bike on the lirr so it needs to fold small (tikit is less likely). I would prefer a good ride closest to a regular bike (strida is out of question).

any comments, suggestions or information would be greatly appreciated.

BIrdy, Bikefriday and Moulton are the big three names in the world of small wheeled bikes. Moulton is not really a folder, it comes apart though. Moulton and Bikefriday have the reputation as being the closest ride to a regular bike.

BIrdy is only a touch behind the other two as far as ride goes, but folds up the best of the three.

All these bikes have been loaded up with panniers and ridden across continents. The small wheels are just about indestructible. There is quite a fanatical following from devoted users.

Performance is surprising good. Set up right, they are only a tad slower than most road bikes.

Sorry I don't know anything of the others, that doesn't mean they are bad. (Just that I'm not familiar with them).
